BVN was introduced by central bank of Nigeria last year 2014, but later the registration was extended to the end on October 31, 2015. The aim of extending the registration date was to enable any one holding a bank account in Nigeria to register.

To check your BVN, dial *565*0# using the phone number you used during registration. The services is available on all telecommunication networks in Nigeria and works for all banks.
